Chapter 6: Surprise Little Warrior!

652 Words
Ava and Isaac are only 15 minutes away from the bakery at the pace they are walking at. As strange as it might seem to see to see two kids of such a young age walking together by themselves, it is a pretty common standard on the planet for small children to run, walk, or even play together just around the town, because the town was generally safe. "Hey Ava, how come you're always acting weird around me"? Isaac asks the question that has been on his mind for the duration of their walk. Ava would almost refuse to even stare at Isaac let alone look him in the eye and went out the way to do so. "I...I..It's just t..t..that" She stutters, but then takes a deep breath in and out. "My papa would always tell me that I should never trust boys, because of my looks, he says they are evil and are out to hurt me, he would always tell me stories of evil men doing bad things to princesses for their own evil plans". She finishes with a sad look on her face. "Her father is one of those type of protect their little princess types huh...What an i***t for teaching his daughter like that, it seems I will need to do some correcting before this girl goes like this for the rest of her life. Consider this my first good deed in this world". Isaac thinks in his head and begins to formulate his next words somewhat carefully. "Do I seem like a bad boy to you Ava"? Isaac asks in a relaxed tone anticipating Ava's answer. "Well...no...you are walking me over to your home and holding my hand so I won't get lost..." Ava squeaks out softly but still high enough for Isaac to hear. "Then you should take the things your father says with a grain of salt". Isaac replies to her. "A grain of...salt"? Ava asks confused. "You'll understand what that means later". Isaac replies and stops at the entrance to the bakery. "We're here". Isaac says and finally lets go of Ava's hand and begins to grab the door to the entrance. "My mother should have fixed up the place apparently for the party so make yourself at ho...". Isaac doesn't get to finish for when he opens the door, he is immediately blasted with confetti and is covered in it. "SURPRISE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE WARRIOR"!!! Isabella, and a few other adults shout in celebration at the front door of the bakery. Isaac stares in surprise but then tears begin to fall down from his eyes and he runs into his mother's arms. "What's wrong Isaac"? Isabella asks in a worried tone and holds him and rubs his back. "It's just that, I'm so happy that I have you as a mother". Isaac replies in between his tears. Isaac back when he was on Earth, didn't have many friends, so he didn't have parties, let alone surprise parties, the actions that his mother in this life took to ensure that he would have a party made him burst with tears, remembering his old mother on Earth. "I miss you mom", Isaac thinks in his head, as he wipes his tears and smiles brightly for the first time in this new world. Isabella picks up Isaac and brings him to a special chair in front of a cake with a light pink frosting topped with strawberries. The three candles on the cake were molded into small swords. "Wow", Isaac says in shock and surprise, "this is the best cake I've ever seen you make mom"! "Well, I pulled off all the stops for my little warrior, now make a wish and blow out your candles Isaac". Isabella smiles while flexing arm like a bodybuilder. Isaac giggles and then closes his eyes. "I wish to be able to gain the power to protect all my loved ones in this new world". Isaac blows out the candles, and this starts the beginning of something unnatural.
