Chapter 13: Fighting Victor, Tier 0 Magi Bully

Isaac wakes up in the morning and immediately begins his training routine for the morning that he came up with yesterday. 25 pushups, 25 sit-ups, 25 punches and kicks, and 5 runs around his home while wearing his weighted clothing. It's been a week since he first learned magic at the library with Kanade, and Isaac's physique has improved ever since he learned magic and fought with Kanade over at the library. Before, he would be almost dying on the ground exhausted after he finished doing his exercises, but now it has gotten easier for him, and he doesn't fall to the ground like a defeated dog now. Isaac also performs meditation for three hours straight, because from what he learned about magic, meditation helps improve and think of ways to increase his magical power. Meditation also helps raise the magical capacity of the body, but only a small bit depending on the amount of magical energy in the area. Areas with higher magical energy usually improve meditation and raise the capacity at a quicker rate, while lower magical energy areas might only improve it slightly if not at all. After Isaac's three-hour meditation session, he feels like he has stumbled upon something unique for his foundation spell. Inside his mind, Isaac's magical tree appears. Inside his magical tree, two small purple magical balls are connected to a slightly larger purple ball while that ball is connected to a bigger purple magical ball. The huge purple ball is his foundation spell to summon the dual-bladed polearm (Think of an Orthos from the game Warframe). The two smaller balls are the adaptations he has made of his foundation spell. The medium-sized ball represents the principle of form changing. Which allowed Isaac to first change his weapon into a throwable spear, which he used against Kanade in his first fight with her. That throwable spear is represented as one of the smaller purple balls, while the other one is the new spell Isaac learned which allows him to extend or retract his dual bladed polearm.

"I can't extend or retract it by much, only like three-tenths of a meter, but it should be deadly in a fight where my opponent has predicted my range and doesn't know I'm able to the extend my weapon. I should try to focus on strengthing my weapon's cutting power next. Speaking of focusing on, most weapons that journey with someone for a long time get named, I wonder what I should call my weapon"? Isaac thinks as he is preparing to go out to the town to go get Isabella the items she needs.

"I'm heading out mom! I'll be home soon"! Isaac yells as he is leaving out the door.

"Be safe"! Isabella yells back as she is preparing the bread for the morning in the kitchen.

Isaac starts running towards the nearest grocery store when he is interrupted by his senses being flared in the direction to the right. Isaac stops and turns in that direction, only to see the blonde kid with the red robe on, black boots, and black gloves on. The scene is somewhat strange because he is releasing magical power, causing the street to be slightly scorched black wherever he takes a step, and he is wearing an angry expression on his face.

"What a hothead". Isaac thinks, but almost as if they could hear his thoughts, the blonde kid turns to look at him.

"What are you staring at commoner"!? He yells at Isaac and then proceeds to make his way over to Isaac and stops when is about five feet away from him. "Do you know who I am! I'm Victor, heir to the Dormer family! You should be bowing your head when I even grace your eyelids brat"! He yells some more. Isaac gives him a stare like he is an i***t and begins to walk past him on to his destination. Before Isaac can get too far, he begins to feel a rise in magical power behind him. Isaac turns around to see the idiotic blonde kid charging a red glow of magic in his hand. "You're courting death"! He screams as his magical power is almost charged.

"i***t"! Isaac screams as his hand hind begins to glow with purple magic. Victor looks at Isaac in surprise at the fact Isaac could also use magic, but it didn't stop him from finishing his spell and launching a pillar of flame directly at Isaac. Isaac, as he was walking past Victor, noticed an elderly lady who was about 8 feet ahead of him, if he dodged this attack, the elderly lady would be hit by this pillar of flames. Isaac is charging his magic but he realizes he won't be able to finish summoning his dal bladed polearm in time. "CMON CMON CMON"! Isaac screams in his mind, the adrenaline forcing him to see things happening with great clarity, Isaac would need 5 more seconds normally to summon his weapon, but in the moment of life or death, Isaac lowers the time he needs to summon the weapon from 25 seconds to 20 seconds. "SUMMON"! Isaac shouts and his weapon is summoned in front of him. Taking the dual-bladed polearm in both hands, he begins to spin his weapon at high speed in front of him like a fan. The flames last for a total of 5 seconds, and Isaac manages to divert the flames from his body and the elderly lady behind him at the cost of his weapon breaking into pieces and disappearing.

"WHAT"!? Nobody has ever blocked my spell"! Victor yells as he prepares to charge a spell again.

"I don't think so"! Isaac had already been charging his magic to summon his weapon. "Summon"! Isaac yells as he summons two throwable spears at the cost of his remaining magic. He throws one spear aiming at Victor while throwing the second one at the ground in front of him. Victor releases his fire magic towards the spear that had been hurled at him. A fireball heads towards Isaac's spear and explodes it on contact. A cloud of smoke covers the area between Isaac and Victor.

"Nice try brat"! Victor yells, thinking he can just end Isaac with another one of his flame spells. Victor begins to charge another flame spell into his hand , but before he can even think about finishing it, Isaac comes flying through the smoke like a projectile and kicks him, sending him tumbling across the stone pathway of the ground. When he stops tumbling, he is unconscious on the ground. Isaac had jumped on the second spear that he had summoned and propelled himself through the smoke in the direction Victor was.

Isaac wipes the sweat off his forehead that built up due to him using up all of his magical energy in his body and from the fight. "Take that you pompous bastard"! Isaac screams out, but then gets embarrassed because people are looking at him with their mouths ajar. "I must have sounded so embarrassing that they were forced into shock". Isaac thinks and quickly dashes away from the scene. In reality, everyone is in shock at the fact that Isaac beat up Victor to the point of unconsciousness. Nobody wanted to be in Isaac's shoes, because even though the Dormer family wasn't a powerful royal family clan, they could still cause problems for a commoner family, even if Isaac had magic.

Unnoticed by anybody, on top of a roof nearby to the scene, two men with red robes on are talking to each other.

"Why don't we just kill the kid so that the young heir won't have any oppositions in his path"? One of the men with a red robe says to the other red robed individual next to him. "This is why you have not been able to past the peak 2 magic realm George, you are too afraid of opposition so you try to get rid of it as soon as possible, but it is opposition and the ability to face and conqueror opposition is what makes someone stronger". The other red robed individual says to the person named George. George flinches a bit but then bows his head to the other individual. "What should we do then my lord"? George asks the other red robbed individual.

"We will use that kid as a stepping stone for my son to get stronger". Isaac would not know about this conversation that happens between these two people, but the red robed individual who spoke will soon come to regret his decision this day.
