“Are you smiling at me?” Anthony asked, staring intently at the wolf. He stretched his hand hesitantly and ran his fingers through the soft fur. “This feels so good.” He moaned, getting closer to pet the wolf some more. “I am sorry I freaked out the first time I met you. I was shocked.” He confessed. “Scratch that, shocking is an understatement,” Anthony added, shaking his head. “At first I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but then I realized you were real, and accepting that truth is the hardest thing I have ever had to.” The wolf shifted and laid his big head on Anthony's lap. All the prior thoughts of marking their mate had long evaporated from his mind.
