Adapting

The journey to the new pack was long and tiring. As soon as we arrived, we were immediately put to work cleaning up and setting things in order. I was assigned to cleaning the main hall, making sure everything was spotless for the pack leader and his son, Gabriel. Days passed, and the pack began to settle in their new home. The slaves worked tirelessly, making sure everything was in order. I was constantly on the move, cleaning and arranging things, never having a moment to myself. One day, as I was carrying a pile of dirty linens out of the main hall, I bumped into Gabriel. Memories of our night together flashed through my mind, and I felt a surge of anger and frustration. How dare he treat me like a mere object to satisfy his desires! But Gabriel only smirked and walked away without saying a word. I felt a wave of heat wash over me, and I knew I needed to get away before I did something I would regret. As I continued with my duties, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness. I was stuck in this new pack, with no friends or family, and no hope of ever being free. I missed my old life, even though it wasn't perfect. But I knew I had to keep going, to survive in this new pack and hope for a better future. As I finished my duties for the day, I made my way back to my cell room, feeling exhausted and defeated. I sat on my cot, feeling sorry for myself, when I heard a knock on the door. It was one of the other slaves, a kind-hearted girl named Sarah. "Celine, are you okay?" she asked, concern etched on her face. I shook my head, tears streaming down my face. "No, Sarah, I'm not okay. I hate it here. I hate Gabriel, and I hate this life." Sarah came over and hugged me, and I cried on her shoulder. "I know it's hard, Celine," she said softly. "But we have to be strong. We have to survive." I nodded, feeling grateful for Sarah's words of encouragement. With her help, I knew I could make it through this, no matter how difficult it may be.
