When she struggled even more to talk and couldn’t get anything out, she then decided to point to her ear and mouth.

She thought that if she had just done that she was going to pass over to those at the hospital ward that she doesn’t hear anything and could not speak specifically because she had been mute for an extensively long time.

Jacqueline gave her a look, and then back at Xavier, maybe he could understand her as she was his mate.

But Xavier gave her a look, which screamed she didn’t link him, and he, in fact didn’t know what she was saying.

“Maybe we should give her a pen and paper she just might write down what she is explaining” a nurse assisting Jacqueline suggested.

“Fine bring one now so she tells us” she ordered, and a few seconds went by, and the paper and pen were brought.

She began to write but her hand was shaking and the way the words came off from the words she was trying to write was super ugly but at least she had written something down and they coulkd read it.

“I am deaf and I can’t hear what you are saying all I hear are swooshing sounds and the high beep from the machine because of the frequency” she wrote and then turned towards the doctor and showed her the paper.

Immediately what she wrote was being read by the doctor a smile showed on her face bad Xavier took the paper to read what was on it and then he also had a small worried smile on his face but deep down he was happy she had said she had a problem and it could be rectified and from there they could go further.

She then sees Jacqueline signs to her, “I am sorry I didn’t know you were deaf I have been asking too many questions, thinking you were just ignoring them” she explained.

“I understand, I lost my hearing aids years ago and since then I haven’t been able to communicate properly in the rogue park” she signed back to Jacqueline with a smile extremely happy that she had found someone who indeed knew her struggles and could help her out.

“You can sign properly” she signed back to her as she smiled, her small smile beautiful to behold even in her structure.

“Yes dearest Luna, I have worked with so many people who are impaired, and also, did you wear hearing aids before this?” she asked and first of Nathalia was surprised at the fact that she had called her Luna she wasn’t a Luna she was a girl who had been kidnapped from when she was younger and finally found a way to run away from those who had made her life miserable.

“I am not a Luna” she signed back to Jacqueline who only gave her a smile because she knew she had not been told she was the Luna yet it was just the excitement that had made her sign with respect.

“I will order you new hearing aids so you can hear and understand what we say, okay?” she signed, and Nathalia was super happy she indeed was going to get some hearing Aids and she was not going to be in the lost again.

As she heard that, she lay back on her bed and relaxed a bit. The doctor then looked back at Xavier before looking back at her.

“So how do you feel now?” she asked.

“I have seen worse than this, so all I can say is I feel relaxed” she replied.

“I am surprised by the way you were hurt. You should have been dead right now” she signed still in awe that the wounds she had had not healed, and still, she still was alive.

“Honestly I am surprised I wasn’t dead too with the way I had been treated” she replied.

“You are so thin and malnourished, and you sure would need to be treated consecutively till you are better and the broken ribs you had, I think you would be, find in no time” she explained

“Does this mean I am in good hands?” she asked as she looked at her with hope in her eyes.

“Of course you are in good hands and you would be brought back to a better shape” she signed back and Nathalia couldn’t hold her excitement anymore as she signed a ‘thank you’ back to the doctor with tears filling her eyes.

And besides as she had been there, she had been avoiding eye contact with from the Alpha who had been looking at her fervently.

“Who is he?” she signed and asked Jacqueline.

“Oh! He is Xavier Hills of the Silent Moon Pack” she signed back.

When growing up, she had heard so much about the Hills pack family, and she had heard her father saying they were silent but the most feared pack of the entire wolf packs they had ever known.

Jacqueline turned to look at the Alpha and then heads to turn and sign to Nathalia that the Alpha wanted to have a conversation with her.

Now she knew she could no longer avoid him or his eye contact he had seen her talk with Jacqueline, which meant she could talk to him too without any worry.

“How does he want to talk to me?” she asked as she could tell he did not understand what they were discussing when he was just watching them sign.

“Well he definitely can sign he had a relative who was deaf and when growing he was taught to sign so as to play with her” Jacqueline said and just like that she was caught she thanked her stars she had not signed any bad thing about him to Jacqueline.

“I will leave you two” she signed as she said something to Alpha, and he shook his head in understanding before he turned to look at her.

Oh, blimey! Her luck to actually have him knows how to do sign languages.

He moved closer to her, and she tried to move away from him. Hearing that he was from that pack, which everyone feared, she only could think of what he was going to sign to her and more.

She was expecting him to say something terrible to her, but his smiles said otherwise.

It felt like he was happy seeing her up. He studied her for a moment, which made her nervous, and she was scared his stares were going to lead him to beat her up for running away from him just as she had been treated years back.

He then shifted his chair closer to her bed and then gently he signed, “Hello darling, how are you doing?”

Did he just call her darling? That was a romantic phrase, Andrew she had never been called that since she lost her parents. Was he joking?

“Hi” she signed back in a shy manner as her nerves began to kick rapidly. This was sure going to be the hardest thing Xavier had ever done in his life.
