The Silent Moon

She tried to talk!

Well, form the look of things after her treatment at the hospital she had been resting for continuous week just in bed and not doing anything else she sure needed it.

She had been taken to show around the pack, but when they were walking, she had felt weak and well, hence the one week in bed she had gotten.

The doctor had said her body was still finding ways to recover from all the stress and trauma she had gone through, hence the reason why she had even collapsed when she was going to the bathroom.

Judging from the way she reacted to hands being raised or if she heard a chaos outside the way she reacted sure showed that she had a past she was running from and Xavier could only wish he could help his mate be fine and normal yet again.

Mathias had finally found his mate, and Xavier, being Mathias’s best friend, was excited that they had found their missing ribs from the goddess and were super happy.

She had serious PTSD as per the diagnoses and Xavier had to make sure he didn’t portray anger or anxiety when by her side if he asked a question and she didn’t respond the moment he wanted else she was going to be mad at him and might just never trust him again because she had been trying to get him into her space.

Mathias was not so happy with the fact that he couldn’t be able to get through to his mate the way he wanted but if he continued that way he just might lose her forever hence Xavier had to talk to his wolf the best way he could so that he didn’t force things so much and make her uncomfortable.

“She will surely awake and be fine soon, right?” Mathias asked as indeed he had wanted to see his mate’s eyes and just have a conversation with her.

“I honestly do not know, and I just hope that they for sure awake and make us happy” Xavier said, referring to Nathalia and her wolf.

The doors to the room opened and drew Xavier out of his numerous thoughts it was Jacqueline she indeed wanted him to go have a bath because ever since she had felt weak and crumbled to the ground Xavier had not left her side even for a moment and somehow it was affecting the pack but Ax was on it.

“You need to go take a bath and also have something to eat and even focus on the pack” She said gentleness yet being stern lacing her voice.

“I don’t want to leave her. What if she needs something or is awake when I am not there?” he asked.

“Nothing will happen to her if you used just about thirty minutes to an hour to get yourself together she is going to be fine and I am here too” she said giving him the reassuring eyes hinting she indeed was going to be around till he returned.

Looking down at himself for sure, he had begun to smell nasty, almost having the smell of a rogue who had not had a perfect place to live in.

“Are you sure I can’t wait till later?” he asked, still feeling reluctant to go and do his personal hygiene.

“Nope it can’t wait. Plus, you are beginning to stink the room from the numerous rogues you dealt with this week” she said.

They had had a rogue fight not too long ago as they had come to fight the silent Moon pack hence the entire week Jacqueline had been focused on treating the wounds of the wolves who had been hurt and also making sure everyone was fine.

For an entire week, the pack had been attacked twice, and in that attack, the only thing Xavier did was go and fight and come back to check on his mate who had been in a comma.

The place was beginning to smell like rogue even though it was not bothering to Nathalia because well she had lived in that type of area for long hence in her comatose state somehow she felt like she was being followed by her enemies who were the rogues.

“Well yea I guess you are right I’ll just take some time for my personal hygiene and be back and if she awakes when I am not around please let her know I am coming I just went for a clean self” he gave Jacqueline the instructions to which she shook her head in acceptance.

He sighed reluctantly and went off to have his bath and brush his teeth and just be the Xavier he was before she had come into his life as his mate.

She still had not fully known she was his mate. He was still to tell her from their last walk when she had crumbled and fell.

He got into his bathroom, which was connected to the room where his mate lay, and Jacqueline began to check on Nathalia.

He wished he could have marked her already so that he could be able to know what she was thinking and how she was feeling at this moment.

As the shower poured on his body, he watched as the dried blood from all those he had attacked dropped to the floor and his body began to feel relieved, indeed the dirt on him was for sure pulling him down plus the stress of having to save all those who were under him as their Alpha.

He had to fight so well so that they could all be saved as he was the one leading their biggest and most powerful pack.

He indeed returned to the room after thirty minutes the wave of tiredness had left him and he now felt refreshed he came back and his mate was in her sleep still nothing had changed from when he had left.

“Give her sometime alpha she is going to be awake before you even know it” she said as she saw the look of more worry etching his face.

Jacqueline went to her arm and put in yet another drug to which had triggered her as she opened her eyes and for the first time in a week she had arrange herself on the bed probably feeling stressed from laying at the same position for too long.

Jacqueline turned to look at Xavier if he had just seen the movement she had made, and their eyes met as she turned back to stare at her.

And just then, she did just what they were not expecting. She gave out an agonizing scream, which shook even the Alpha, who was not scared of anything to begin with.

“What the hell is going on?” he asked as Jacqueline began to try to find a solution to the pain she was in.

She applied, pressured at the side where Nathalia was feeling pain and hoping she would just be still from shaking.

Within a few minutes, she laid there completely, still not making any signs but just still unaware if she was going to be hurt, the pain of those nights and days absorbing her.

Guess she had felt the injection piercing the drug into her, and the pain from it had brought back some memories she sure had been running away from.

Then Jacqueline turns to the Alpha and says to him, “She thought I wanted to hurt her, and I feel bad that she feels that way”

Tears began to run down her eyes as she now was aware of her surrounding and all Xavier could think of was how he could hear what she was thinking and just help his mate because the hurt she felt kept breaking him.

He didn’t want her to feel the way she was feeling. How could he take her out of this pain? Slowly, he returned to his seat and sat there as Jacqueline had ordered him to do because when he awoke with a lot of strength, she had closed her eyes, clearly hoping he didn’t hit her.

She slowly lifted her head from the bed as she was trying to say something but couldn’t and then suddenly she just decided to sit quite looking around.

“I-I-I-I” she began to say, but still no sentences were built.

She felt terrible she still could not say anything, and the tears just continued pouring down.

She turned and gave Xavier a gaze and the back to the doctor and then she made some signs to Jacqueline to which within seconds she left the room and then Nathalia turned to Xavier she asked for a paper and pen to which he gave she bent and began to write and Xavier was seriously waiting for what she writing.

He indeed hoped it was something she wanted him to do so she would feel better.

Jacqueline had returned into the room as she focused on Nathalia, who was struggling to form the words on the paper she had been given.

“I want to apologize for being unbearable” she had written down, and she looked at them, and tears dripped even more.

Looking at her, she was a beautiful wolf. The colour of her eyes went perfectly with her cute hair.

Despite the tears dripping from her eyes, she made crying extremely beautiful, not in a bad way.

She was perfect. Indeed, he was going to make sure she was extremely fine and ready to let him deal with those who had done this to her.
