That morning, I left early—before the twins had even woken up.
I still had to complete my university enrollment, and despite everything Lean and Kael had revealed to me, I assumed my life would continue as usual. The only difference was that now, I was somewhat of a superpowered girl—one who was still discovering her abilities.
"I’m so glad you accepted them, Selene," said Skadi, whose voice I was beginning to grow used to. "The twins are our mate. Not accepting them would have been our ruin."
"What do you mean?" I asked, just as I was about to enter the faculty building where I needed to sign my enrollment documents.
"Rejecting your mate is the worst thing you could ever go through. For a moment, I feared you would see all of this as insanity and push them away."
