Selene´s POV The landscape turned gray. Not the color. The soul of the place. The streets were behind us. The buildings, the remnants of the city, the urban chaos. Now there were only cracked dirt roads, bare hillsides, and trees twisted by dry winds. We were leaving the city, crossing into that unmarked frontier where everything changes.
