Chapter Twelve: CallumI haven't seen Mandi for weeks. The occasional phone conversation and back and forth messaging has been frightfully dissatisfying. She feels the same, or so I assume based on how she tends to sound over the phone.
My decision to make the trip to Langley didn't actually involve her, though. She would have said no, and tried to dissuade me. Considering her folks are working pretty much constantly through the weekends and her grandmother has some neighbourhood bingo event to go to today, it seems like the perfect opportunity to give Mandi a little surprise. I have to find out if whatever we feel for one another is real, or just a desperate yearning to get back that one perfect night we had.
