We were still seated in the kitchen when I mustered up enough courage to ask, "Greg, what exactly is wrong with Nathaniel?"
Greg looked at me and I could see that he was having an internal argument with himself about whether to tell me or not. He sighed and said curtly, "Emily, I can't tell you everything, but what I can tell you is that the reason why Nathaniel can't tolerate women touching him, why he doesn't have women as staff, and why he is currently unconscious is that he was cursed when we were young. Because of the curse, when women touch him, it feels like spiders crawling on and under his skin. He gets panic attacks that make his breathing shallow, and he becomes clammy and flushed.
