Sartin woke to the beautiful music of the symphony he had created the night before. Soon the melody turned into Sommar’s Song. After a quick breakfast with the family pod, Sartin met Sommar at the Alewar Council. Just as Sartin expected, he and Sommar were paired up for the next six sleeps. They were assigned to watch duty that day and then they would have their evening meal with Sommar’s pod. The next day, they were assigned to the hunt, and then they would eat with Sartin’s pod. On the third sleep, they would have overnight watch. After the Southern pods left for the Winter, the assignments would be redrawn, resulting in a routine they would follow until the Southern pods returned for the Summer.
