Chapter 12 Sartin floated in a sea of black. Sommar’s Song and all the other songs that lived in his head had vanished. If he was dead, shouldn’t he have been able to watch the pod from the sky, like the tales described? Every once in a while, Sartin escaped from the darkness and relived the scene. Sometimes it played just like it happened. Other times, Wickizer loomed big and evil and wicked. In another scenario, Wickizer threw Sommar at the shark.
