Chapter 13 Sartin woke with the sun directly above him. He hadn’t been asleep a whole night. It was probably midday. The nausea had ended, and he was hungry once more. The land person was gone. The blaze from the land had died down. In the light, Sartin could scarcely tell it was there. Through the trees, clouds formed in the distance. There was no evidence of a rainstorm, so the clouds had to be in the west. It would probably rain later. The land person had placed him under a large palm, and Sartin could pull it over him when it rained. Did the land person know how to read the clouds for such things?
