As she entered Flashman’s Hotel, she remembered the flowers and presents that were still waiting for Sonia. She went up to the receptionist and asked about them. No shyness now. How she had felt on her first visit to this place was a million miles from how she felt now.
“Ah yes Sonia,” the receptionist said, as if they were well known to each other. “I’ll fetch them.” She went away and came back, carrying three bouquets, two large parcels and a collection of cards in envelopes held together by an elastic band. “Wow!” she said. “They really went overboard on you!
