“You need to be real clear with me, Korrin,” she growled, rushing into his room hours later. This wasn’t the first time she’d been in here looking for him – but earlier, he had been nowhere to be found. Now, she had him in her sights.
He turned towards her, and Kris almost faltered over her footsteps. Where he had once had long, dark hair that fell down his back was now short, closely cropped hair. His weeks’ worth of stubble had been shaved off. His golden eyes were the same, as was his strong jaw, but he looked like a new man.
And he was even more handsome than ever, now that he was cleaned up.
Don’t think about that, she told herself. Now wasn’t the time.
