Chapter 32 Kris stood at the head of the column, Korrin by her side. The mountains loomed in the distance, taking Kris’s breath away. She’d seen mountains before, of course, but none with the raw beauty of these. The peaks were snowcapped, primal and raw, a fitting place for Shifters to live. They’d been following a small stream that had slowly grown to a raging river as they neared the source of the melted snowfall. It had taken them days to get this close to the mountains, and it would take another day or two at the least. “We’re going too slowly,” Korrin muttered.
