Chapter 7 Korrin sat in the passenger seat, wiping blood from his hands. He’d stitched up Kris, and he was thankful that she had been out for it. His goal hadn’t been to hurt her. In the back seat, he heard moaning. Korrin turned and looked behind him. She was coming around slowly. Carefully. Even without his Shifter senses, he would have been able to tell that she was in some serious pain. But as he knew, pain was good: it meant you were still alive. “How are you feeling?” he asked. At the sound of his voice, she jumped and looked up at him. Then she gave him a scowl and started struggling against her restraints.
