Who knew party planning could be so fun?
The last twenty hours were both exhilarating and exhausting. Thekla had invited me over to help her make some last minute adjustments to her birthday party plans and it turned out to be an amazing adventure, especially since the birthday venue was a beautiful beach house in the outskirts of town.
The party planning stretched until late in the evening so she insisted that I stayed over so we’d get ready together for the party the next day.
Finally, it was the afternoon of the D-day and almost all the rooms in the beach house were overflowing with gifts that had been sent to her from countless people; friends, foes, and admirers alike.
