“Oh my f*****g days,” Thekla rolled her eyes and frowned at me, “he’s just trying to scare you off because he knows he’ll lose to you again this time.”
I returned a frown of my own, regretting that I’d told her about the confrontation with Hades. I’d thought that telling her about how Tobias issued an indirect warning to me the next day would prove how heated things were, but it clearly didn’t.
“That’s not what this is about. He’s like brother to me and you’re asking me to go after his girl when he’s practically sworn that he’ll hate me forever if I hurt her,” I spelt out what mattered so she’d understand the gravity of the matter.
From the stubborn crease that appeared on her forehead, I knew she was about to do anything but understand me point of view.
