THEKLA “Here, girl,” I whistled, spreading my arms as my Pomeranian named cloudy ran towards me while wagging her fluffy tail. Instead of jumping into my open arms, she leapt into the beach chair beside me and sniffed it before purring sadly. I knew what that meant and I shared in her sadness just as much because I missed having him all to myself during weekends. “I know, sweets. I miss him too,” I gathered cloudy into my arms and hugged her closely while still staring at the empty chair.
