As soon as the guest speaker gave his closing remarks, Hades practically sped towards me.
“Congratulations, baby, you were amazing!” he threw his arms around me, squeezing me against his chest while Matteo seemed to tense up beside us.
Soon, Tobias and Thekla were on the stage as well, happily congratulating as while everything seemed to be spinning around me and Hades’ arms remained around us. It was only when Thekla pulled him off me and wrapped her arms around me that I could finally breathe.
The overwhelming guilt I felt seemed to have been suffocating me when he hugged me, and being free of his arms was a much needed release.
“You crushed those bitches real good,” Thekla said with a grin as she pulled away, managing to make me smile at her remark.
