Matteo’s laughter broke off the stare down, confusing both me and especially Hades who had visibly gotten angrier.
“Man, I’m just pulling your legs,” he rose his hands in surrender still laughing, “I was just keeping her company while we waited for the rain to subside.”
Hades flipped him off before turning his attention to me.
“I was worried sick about you that’s why I hurried back here.
