Veronica's POV
I walked the hallway, adjusting the bag on my shoulder as I looked around for any sign of Adnam.
We had agreed to meet up before the First period.
“So, where is he?” I thought, my hands trembling slightly.
I closed my eyes, inhaled, and exhaled. “Okay, Veronica. Calm down. Just chill,” I whispered to myself.
“Hey Princess,” Adnam's voice brought me out of my trance, startling me.
“You…okay?” He asked, assessing me.
I smiled nervously. “Yeah. Yeah. Why?”
“You look pale. Like you didn't sleep…”
Right. How could I sleep? The moon Goddess probably knew the kind of personality I had, seeing that I wasn't born by an Alpha.
I'd have gone crazy by now.
“I’m fine, Adnam. Just tired. Had trainings yesterday and my body is still sore.”
