Chapter 11 - Aleksander

I walked Lina back to the garden but Mason wasn't back yet. It was only a minute before I smelled him coming out of the house. He walks straight to us placing his hand on Linas sholder.

I see her eyes go white and se starts falling backwards. "s**t!" Mason shouts as he picks her up bridal style and runs back inside.

I Link our family and run after them.

Mason places her down on the bed, runs and grabs something from her bag and straight back to her.

"Mason what's happening?!" He doesn't even look at me, he is only focused on Lina. When he climbs on the bed and straddles her, I see he tied her legs together. What the hell is this.

"Lina. I'm here. You are safe. This isn't real." Mason starts talking calmly to her. "Lina, Tell me what you smell?" What is he doing?

Just as I am about to push him off her she starts to speak "Smoke, Cherry cigar. Lasagna burning in the oven. Burban."

Mason looks pale. "Mason wat is this?" He turns to me shocked as if he only now realized i was here. he looks around to see my hole family in the room freaking out and jelling at him.

"Shut up!" Mason's voice rang out louder that any of ours. "I have to record wat she says and she wont be able to hear if you all don't shut the hell up." Stunned we all keep quiet.

He turns back to her. Only focusing on her again. "Lina. what do you hear?" Just like before she responds. "The news, the TV is playing the news. A man screaming, the sound is muffled."

"What do you taste?" "there's a metallic taste in my mount... its Blood, I taste blood." Lina's voice sounds shaky.

"What do you feel Lina?" this time she doesn't respond instantly, so we wait. "Pain... Fear... I don't want to die..."

Mason takes a deep breath. "Lina. You're safe, it's not real..." Mason leans forward pinning down Lina's arms with his legs and holding her head in his hands.

"Ok Lina. What do you see?" Linas eyes shoot open but her eyes are foggy. I shout through the mind link 'Layla, open the link, show me what you see' instantly I'm in her head.

"There's a man screaming at me but my hands are covering my ears. I'm huddled in a ball in the corner of the room. I'm scared. He's walking to the hallway to get something."

"Run Lina, there's a door to your right. Run" a hear Mason guide her.

I'm still in her hed an I feel as she takes off as fast as she can, out the door and trough the gate. She runs right into a little girl. Its her. She ran into herself? 'Its ok. I've got you, your safe now'

"I ran into a little girl." "That's you Lina, it's the day you saved me. The little girl is you." Mason tells her.

Wait so she is seeing what he saw, she is living his memory? What is this?

I keep watching and see the man come out the door, straight for them. Lina pulled Mason behind her. 'No! You will not harm him. He is mine and you will never hurt him again!' that felt like an Alpha tone. The man stopped in his tracks, he looks scared of her. Then I see a couple of humans dressed in uniforms take the man away.

Lina turns to Mason. 'You are mine and you will never be alone again. I will protect you. Always.'

The mind link shut and Lina gasped for air. "Your safe Lina. It's ok. Your ok." Mason comforts her untill her breathing slows and she is more aware of her surroundings.

'Did Layla open up the Link to anyone els? Did any of you see what she saw?' Dad asked. 'Yes' 'I saw' I hear my family all reply over mind link. So we all saw.

"Mason. What triggered that memory, why were you thinking of that day?" Lina asks in a hushed voice.

"I was wondering what would have happened if you didn't get lost. If you were here, with your family, where would I be today?"

"Mason you would still be with me. If I could feel your fear, your pain, your need for help from 40 blocks away, I would have felt it from here as well. Somehow we are connected. You are mine Mason. If I didn't go missing, you would still be mine." Lina wraps her arms around Mason, holding him close to her until they both are calm.

"Lina?" Mom sounds shaken "Sweetheart, what just happend?"

Lina got up from the bed and walked to stand Infront of us all.

"I am not sure what exactly happens or how it happens but sometimes I am able to live through someone else's memories and in some cases I can see, hear, smell and taste what someone else is experiencing the same moment it happens. Like the memory I just relived, that night I could feel everything Mason was feeling and I just knew I had to get to him. That night was the first time it happened and only the beginning of many more "episodes" like the one I just had. Over time we learned what to do and how to handle it. Mason figured out that by asking me questions, it focuses my mind on one thing at a time and makes the memories more focused. It also makes it pass much quicker."

'Its one of the reasons I told you we are special Lina. It is only one of the things we can do' Layla's voice came through the family mind link.

"Ok. I'm sorry if it scared you in any way, and I promise I'm fine. I will answer any questions you have about it later, right now Mason needs to get back to the garden, he only has 15min to do sound checks now. Oh and where is my camera?"

Lina doesn't even sound fazed at all. How many times has she gone through this before.

After Mason gives her the camera bag, they walk out the room like nothing even happened.
