Unexpected News

10 years and 1 week after our sons birthday...

It's been over a year since my mate and I would even touch each other. I have been getting slight pains in my lower belly for two years now and I think my Mate has been cheating on me. The only reason I can't really feel it is because of something else that happened on the night of our wedding.

It was after the reception and drunk speeches. The cake, the goodbyes and even the 3 hour night f**k me and my mate shared that faithful night. It was at 3 a.m. as I got up to use the restroom and possibly find some ice cream in the freezer of this beautiful villa.

I used the restroom and washed my hands. I don't fix myself in the mirror just in case he wakes up and sees me. I am not ready for another 3 hours. Maybe my crazy hair will ward him off for a while. I walk out of the bathroom and see that he is still sleeping peacefully. I go into the kitchen and notice the scent of my step father. I shrug it off because why would he be in our villa at this time of night.

"Hello Luna" A familiar voice ranged out, I jumped but was not surprised due to me smelling his scent earlier.

"Hello Magos" I smiled and went to give him a hug. He pulled me in a little too tight before letting me go.

"You know I love you and I care so much about you" My smile faded and I nodded. "Take this for me" He held out one of the cups from the ceremony. I took the cup with a questionable look on my face "Drink it"

"But I" I started

"It is the cup of my blood. You must have alpha blood in you to be able to become what you are meant to be and to be able to withstand the challenges that awaits you in 5 years." I didn't understand what he meant and he didn't give me time to ask before ushering me to drink from the cup. I took a big gulp and felt my body go into change. He grabbed me gently and placed a handkerchief around my nose causing me to lose consciousness.

I woke up next to my Mate staring at me. He smile brought joy to my heart and I automatically smiled back. He smiled then faded as he studied my eyes. "Is everything okay?" I asked. He didn't say a word, he just got up and pulled me up with him. He brought me to the mirror and my eyes became large as I noticed the simple lightish brown eyes have turned to like a Brown Earth and clear ocean met and made my eyes but they didn't mix they swirled interlocking in an endless dance.

That was the beginning of something I forgot was coming.

Fast forward to the present day. I still didn't remember what Magos said to me that night. Heck I only had dreams of that night but his words always get muffled out. He died three days after our wedding, killed as he was on a business trip in Switzerland.

Luna Fraya begged him not to go and she hasn't been the same since, she only comes out to mingle during Grand parties, not the small ones. Her favorite pastime is in the garden and spending time with family. She was the reason we knew he died before news reached our ears from his royal guards. She left the pack to us and didn't dip a finger back in it since that tragic day.

"Luna Dhyana, Luna Fraya is here to see you" I nod motioning him to let her in.

"I always loved your garden, it brings a sense of serenity to me" She smiles as we hug

"I'm happy that you feel that way, It's always so nice to see you Fraya" I say back.

"And you as well"

"Tea?" I ask as we sit

"No, this visit is quite serious and I would like to take a walk with you. If we may?" She says in a hushed tone

"Of course darling" I say in a whisper "Guards, we will be on the path. Be sure to keep watch from a distance and treat yourself to some goodies if you like." I take Fraya's hand gently and we walk a path she is most familiar with.

"Ahh the Rose path, my favorite one. Perfect for what I have to say next" I waited intently for what was to come "Have you been feeling pain in your lower belly?" I look away but I nod "What do you think it is?" She asks and I am flustered. I don't know how to tell her that I believe her son is a cheating bastard and I want to divorce so freaking bad but I think things could be worked out if only we just try.

"I.. I don't know" I lied

"I don't know how to tell you" I truthfully said

"What? That my son is a low life cheating bastard like his father was"

I squinted my eyes at her because the late Alpha Magos never touched me or looked at me in any way but a father.

I stood there in shock and disbelief. I didn't understand.
