The dinner at Le Cirque was supposed to be a routine pack business discussion, but Alpha Ryan Hunter's sudden outburst shattered the restaurant's refined atmosphere.
"Are you f*****g kidding me?" -Alpha Ryan snarled, his fist hitting the white linen tablecloth hard enough to make the silverware dance.
"Some little snot-nosed pup messed with my Fort? They don't know he's got a father who'll shift and chew through their goddamn—"
His phone buzzed again with an update.
As he read the next message, the aggressive tension drained from his shoulders, replaced by bemused relief.
Across the table, Alpha Lucian Storm raised a cool, unimpressed eyebrow.
