BRETT
"What are you doing?" Elsie asks, her brown eyes searing up at me as I watch her on the sidewalk of the college party.
"Looking for you," I answer, letting my eyes take in all of her.
Her blonde curls are silky, pulled up and off her smooth neck. Her cheeks aren't pink but I wager they'd be warm to the touch. Her dark gray eye-shadow makes her mocha-colored eyes pop even more, and beneath her long lashes and button nose, she gnaws on a bright red bottom lip that covers her top row of teeth.
"This is the last place you should be now," she scoffs.
"It's not safe for you out here. Add to that, it's freezing."
Elsie starts to shiver and I step forward, moving to shield her from the wind. "Go inside."
