Gabriel's POV:
I went down to the dining area of the pack house and tried to enjoy my meal as silently as possible. Alpha Tiberius had other plans, it seemed. He kept going on and on about his daughter and how sad it made him that she hadn't found her mate yet.
“I do wish to see her with a male soon before I pass on. Someone brave and strong would be great. A male that she could help lead his pack perhaps?”
“Maybe you shouldn't have made her reject your Gamma's son then,” retorted Harvey. It was a well-known secret that Tiberius made his daughter perform the rejection ceremony. Though fewer knew who the said mate was.
“That boy was not her mate,” Tiberius growled. His eyes were going dark as he clenched his fists tight. “How dare you speak to your Alpha's guest in such a manner.”
