Partition Of Xotus Kingdom

Xotus Kingdom, the land of giants normally was not a peaceful Kingdom in its history because of its system of ruling, a giant normally challenge the ruler in charge which is the Commander of the Kingdom for power to rule, if he successfully defeats the current ruler of the Kingdom then he has the right to take control of the kingdom as its new commander. If no one successfully defeats the Commander of the Kingdom before he dies then competition would be hosted for the purpose of appointing a new commander for the Kingdom, out of all the persons that partake in the competition only one winner would emerge as the Commander because other would be killed, the competition is a death tournament, once you any giant partake in the competition, they either win it or get killed in the process of trying to become the Commander of the kingdom.

Many years before now, there was a Commander in the Kingdom named Commander Aedan, he was very powerful, so many giants tried to overthrow as the ruler of the Kingdom and failed. There was no one compared to him in strength in the land, all the people of Xotus Kingdom then got bored of trying to challenge him for the throne then they all began to trust him with all the affairs of their Kingdom, without any arguments, they were doing all he asked them to do. They worshipped him and entrusted the progress of the kingdom in his hands. Of all the kingdoms in Stronas, Xotus Kingdom has the best warriors, Commander Aedan in his lifetime invested more in this section than any other. Xotus Kingdom was balanced in its economy, they had a good relationship with the other kingdoms in Stronas until they welcomed a visitor that turned things around. Commander Aedan was pleased to welcome the King of Melum Kingdom, King Arcandor to his kingdom, the three Kings of the remaining Kingdom rarely visited Commander Aedan at his Kingdom, this was why he welcomed King Arcandor who revealed that he wanted to have a business talk with him. King Arcandor came with some other magicians from his kingdom.

On the course of the meeting, King Arcandor used his magical powers to get into Commander Aedan's head and began to control him from there because he was in need of his soldiers and only his order the Xotus kingdom's soldiers would adhere. King Arcandor then used the Xotus kingdom's soldiers as an instrument for massive destruction. King Arcandor was eventually defeated by the chosen one, Arman, who gave freedom to everyone that Lord Arcandor kept in b*****e. All the giants including Commander Aedan recovered from the enchantment of King Arcandor immediately after his death. Commander was still entrusted with the rebuilding of Xotus Kingdom by its people but he was not the same person they knew prior anymore. Some months later, Commander Aedan died leaving Xotus Kingdom with no ruler, the powerful men in the kingdom began to prepare for the competition that would determine the next ruler of the kingdom which would take place some weeks after Commander Aedan is buried.

Commander Aedan was buried in the memorial cemetery where other past commanders were also buried. The competition of power was already being anticipated by many, many giants were already training ahead of the competition. There was a male giant named Tharod, his two elder brothers, Throe and Thraw, were training ahead of the competition of power. He had a special ability, he could see the future and his brothers knew about it and they already trust whatever he sees because he had seen a vision for them and it came to pass. The day after Commander Aedan was buried, Tharod had a dream and in his dream, he linked up with the spirit of Commander Aedan and they had a discussion.

"Tharod, I showed myself to you because I want to trust you with the Kingdom, this was the same way I was chosen by the previous Commander, you have all the qualities to be the greatest commander of Xotus Kingdom," Commander Aedan said.

"I don't understand what you are driving at Commander Aedan, the competition of power is only for the strongest giants in the Kingdom, I know that I can't stand anyone who would show up for the competition because I am weak," Tharod said.

"Who told you that you are weak son, you are the strongest giant I saw during my lifetime, I saw the way you stood you for those people at the market, I knew that you are the right person to succeed me as the commander of the Kingdom," Commander Aedan said.

"At the market, but when the bully came towards me, I only relied on my brothers to beat him up, if not for my brothers he would have killed me, I can't compete in the competition, I am not ready to die," Tharod said.

"I will give you something which would empower you for the competition, that is why I came to meet you," Commander Aedan said.

"I don't think that is necessary, I am not interested in becoming the ruler of the kingdom for personal reasons," Tharod said.

"You are the only suitable person for the position son, if not you Xotus Kingdom will experience a downfall, do this not only for me but for all the people in the Kingdom including your brothers because they would die if they participate in the competition, will you allow your brothers follow the footstep of your father and just die like that?" Commander Aedan said. Tharod was quiet for some minutes, he kept on looking at the field they were standing on, after a while, he raised his head up.

"My brothers don't deserve to die and Xotus Kingdom does not have to be in chaos, I will compete, what do I need to do to win the competition," Tharod said with confidence and determination.

"Yes, this is who you are, take this apple, eat it, once you wake up begin training till the day of the competition, you won't be defeated by anyone," Commander Aedan said before handing the apple in his hand over to Tharod.

Tharod began to eat the apple as Commander Aedan told him to do, he was not paying attention to commander Aedan anymore. When he was done eating the apple, he began to look around, lo and behold, Commander Aedan was nowhere to be found. Tharod then woke up from his sleep, his both brothers were sitting in front of him.

"What have you seen again, we saw how you were struggling when sleeping," Throe asked.

"I don't know how to say this, but I don't think any of you should partake in the competition of power," Tharod said.

"Why is that? We have been training for it for the past two weeks and you know that, What did you see?" Thraw said.

"I had an encountered with Commander Aedan, he told me to tell you guys not to partake in the competition because none of you would win," Tharod said.

"I knew it from the moment I saw the way you were struggling while sleeping," Thraw said.

"So who did he say would win the competition, at least we can make so much money by betting on the person to win the competition," Throe said. It took a while before Tharod replied to the question his eldest brother asked him.

"Commander Aedan said he has chosen me to be the next Commander of this Kingdom, he said if I do not take the throne, this kingdom would end up in chaos," Tharod said with a sad look on his face.

Throe and Thraw began to jubilate for what their younger brother said. Tharod was surprised that his brothers were happy for him.

"Why are you guys so happy? I am not strong enough compared to the remaining contestants, how do you expect me to win?" Tharod asked.

"You would win so far Commander Aedan appointed you, I and Thraw would begin to train you from today so be prepared," Throe said.

"We have only seven days before the competition, how do you expect me to be strong enough," Tharod asked.

"If you take all your training sessions seriously you would be strong enough, If you listened to me in the past it would not be a big task for you now" Thraw responded.

Throe and Thraw began training Tharod intensively ahead of the competition. In six days, his physique changed drastically, he looked stronger and very fit but he did not still see himself stronger than any of the other contestants.

Time flew by so quickly, it was the day of the competition, Tharod was the underdog among all the contestants. From the first round, people were betting on his opponents to win him, only his two brothers bet on him to win, they went to bet with some rich people in the Kingdom. From the first round he was underestimated till he reached the final he was still underestimated. Tharod was going to face someone who is two times bigger than him for the crown of the kingdom. Throe and Thraw kept all the money they have won from the first round to face all the people supporting their brother's opponent. The final was scheduled for tomorrow, all the other contestants were killed by Strowl, the man Tharod is facing in the final. Tharod avoided killing anyone until he reached the final but Strowl always went behind his back to kill the opponent he defeated without killing.

Finally, it was the day that the ruler of Xotus Kingdom would emerge, many have voted and bet for the brutal Strowl to win the competition, Tharod at first was afraid, his brother tried all they could do to bring him back on track. They both highly motivated him before the match but when he entered the ring and saw Strowl, all the motivation left him, he became afraid once again. The flag was waved and they began to fight, Strowl was using two large swords with no shield and he was wearing armor while Tharod was using a sword and a shield, his armor was weak compared to that of Strowl. While they were fighting, Strowl hit Tharod's sword away from his hand, he also dropped his sword and began to fight combat with him. Strowl began to beat Tharod, he beat him till it was like he had fainted, he was lying on the floor, Strowl began to jubilate. While this was happening, Tharod could hear his brothers shouting his name, he then heard another calm voice, he then opened his eyes, he saw Commander Aedan.

"You think you are weak but you are far stronger than Strowl, don't you think of how you made it to the final, get up and win the tournament, remember the people, your family, win it for peace in your kingdom," Commander Aedan said, he then went to stand aside, am began to cheer Tharod as he got up.

Everyone who was cheering Strowl kept quiet, he was surprised, when he turned around, he saw that Tharod had got up. He picked up his sword that was close to his leg and began to run towards Tharod with the aim of stabbing him. Tharod waited patiently for Strowl to get very close to him, when he was close to him, he weaved the sword and gave Strowl a hot punch in his jaw. Strowl staggered and dropped his sword. Tharod picked up the sword and tore him in his legs, Strowl fell to his knees then Tharod looked at his brothers before stabbing Strowl's both eyes. Tharod blinded Strowl and he was declared the winner of the competition meaning he has emerged as the ruler of the Xotus Kingdom. His brothers won a fortune from betting on him winning the competition. The people of the Xotus kingdom had no other choice but to entrust him with the progress of the kingdom and as the successor of Commander Aedan. He was then given the title Commander, Commander Tharod.

Many successful and peaceful years passed in the helms of Commander Tharon, Xotus Kingdom tapped into the peace that Stronas was experiencing but Commander Tharon kept some strict rules in place like no other kingdom subject or even King is allowed to visit their kingdom, he also banned anyone from challenging the ruler for the throne, anyone who defaults both laws would be sentenced to death. Despite this, some giants then still came to challenge him for the throne. One of the brothers of Strowl demanded to have a fight with Commander Tharon on the condition that if he wins his brother would be released from the kingdom's dungeon he has been and also he would be allowed to rule a separately part of the Kingdom. Commander Tharod accepted because he thought he would defeat him but after the fight Commander Tharod, he had to do all Strowl's brother asked of him. The Xotus Kingdom was now divided into two parts with different commanders.

The Kingdom divided again after the death of Commander Tharod making three different provinces from Xotus Kingdom. The largest province which withheld the original palace of Xotus Kingdom also split into two. None of the four parts of Xotus Kingdom choose to use the name they all renamed themselves. That was how Xotus Kingdom divided, the law Commander Tharod kept in place was key to the separation. Xotus Kingdom is now separated into four provinces namely; Chagrus Province, Faprul Province, Skaria Province, and Craysten Province. Craysten Province is the one that retained the original palace of the Xotus Kingdom.
