Culum Kingdom's Disunion

The tales of King Arman became of old in Culum Kingdom after his demise. His demise made the loopholes in his government to be opened out wide. People became greedier and more demanding. Now they wanted to have a taste of power, they wanted to go against the normal ways of appointing a King, some group of generals led the movement. During King Arman, he transformed Culum Kingdom into a Kingdom that respected the voice of the head visioneer because they see him as the gods representative in the midst. King Loarn was the King of Culum Kingdom at the time when the people began to demand for power, they were bored of being ruled by just one family over and over again. It was the third generation after King Arman's lifetime that the demand of the people became more visible. They have read historical books and they got to know how the chosen one King Arman came out of nowhere to rule Culum Kingdom after conquering Lord Arcandor and his evil.

King Loarn was a very responsible King who loved his people and was ready to do anything that would make them happy so when he heard what was going on, he needed to seek advice from the head visioneer of the Kingdom and from his wife Queen Luise because he cherishes her words and he noticed any advice she gives him or decision she asked him to take normally end up in the best way or in his favor.

"Queen Luise, his majesty demands you come to see him in the palace, he said it is urgent," the chief queen's maid said.

"Okay, you can return to the palace, I will be right behind you," Queen Luise said.

Moments later, Queen Luise was seated on her throne next to that of King Loarn. She already knew that her husband needed a piece of advice that is why he called her the way he did.

"My Queen, you keep on looking like the pretty damsel I married many years ago, you don't seem to be aging at all, I won't trade you for anything else in the world, I bless the gods for giving me a beautiful, caring and influential wife like you," King Loarn said.

"Thank you, my King, I see you are full of praises for me this morning, what have I done to deserve all these praises, my King," Queen Luise asked.

"You have done so many things for me, Luise, if I continue to praise you from now till tomorrow, It is worth the time but that is not the reason I called you here, I want to reveal something this Kingdom is facing to you," King Loarn said.

"Thank you for all the praises, your highness, what is it exactly that want to tell me that you demanded to see me so urgently" Queen Luise replied.

"There have been rumors floating around the city and I was privileged to hear it from one of my trusted warriors, he told me that some of my chiefs have planning a coup against my governance, I'm not sure any of them know that I am aware yet, what would I do now," King Loarn said.

"A coup! they are planning treason, what exactly is the cause? I need detailed information about this, is that all your source told you" Queen Luise asked.

"He said they have been teaching the history of this kingdom to their people so they will know that the Culum Kingdom was never supposed to be ruled by a family, he informed me that it is some of my generals that are making the move, they said they are bored of being ruled by a family over and over again, can't you see there is a problem in this land," King Loarn said.

"I don't see this as a problem because we can think of a solution to calm things down, since they are still a group we can compensate them with a high position in the Kingdom, do you know these generals that are doing this?" Queen Luise said.

While they were discussing, the head visioneer of the Kingdom came inside the palace. He looked like he had something very important to tell the King.

"Your majesty, this thing those generals are planning does not look good, it can lead to mass killing in the war, Kingdom war between the royal family and some group of subjects," Lokin said.

"What do you mean by that Lokin?" King Loarn asked. While Queen Luise was looking so confused.

"I had a vision, it was not good at all, many drops of blood were spilled, many lives were lost, many homes were broken, your majesty we do need to find something to do about this generals before it is too late" Lokin replied. The King and Queen were confused and short of words, they both kept on staring at Lokin till he said something again.

"Your majesty, why are you looking at me like you are hearing about the plans of the generals for the first time, I thought Orize came to deliver my message to you, I told him to inform you before my arrival," Lokin said.

"Oh that's right, he informed me, I never thought it could be this serious, so what is the way out? What are the gods saying?" King Loarn asked.

"The gods are quiet, I think it is now we use our experience and knowledge to handle the situation, the gods will surely back our decision," Lokin replied.

"I think I have read a book about this type of situation and how to handle it, King Loarn reign has just continued the peace and harmony that King Arman laid down during his lifetime, what have we done wrong for the people to want to rule themselves," Queen Luise said.

"You have done nothing wrong your highness, this is the spirit of Izor at work, he has not left this kingdom since his hiding place and his spirit was destroyed, he is communicating to the people through their minds, he drops evil thoughts and plans in the mind of those who accept him wholeheartedly" Lokin replied.

"I will go to the library to check out the book I was talking about," Queen Luise said.

"I will also get going now, I hope I can hear the voices of the gods, they would have a solution for us if they talk to me," Lokin said.

Lokin and Queen Luise then left King Loarn alone in the palace. He was already lost in thought before they said they were leaving, he did not even hear what they were saying. When he regained himself then he noticed his wife and the head visioneer of the Kingdom had gone.

Immediately Lokin left the palace, he went to his chambers, he was ready to go as deep as he can just to hear from the gods. He was going to go in a trance, he was the only second person that would go in a trance after Lycurgos who discovered it while he was alone for many years underground. He told all his co-visioneers to leave him alone in his chambers, he then shut the door of his chambers, he did the same to all the windows. His room was very quiet, the noise or sounds from outside his chambers could not distract him, he closed his eyes and link up with his spirit, he was traveling into the spirit realm.

A few minutes later, Lokin found himself in a very beautiful garden, full of green grasses, different beautiful birds were flying in the sky, he could smell the sweet fragrance coming from the flowers in the garden. Lokin looked around, he was alone, he looked like he was in paradise, prior to now he had never seen any place as beautiful as where he was currently standing. He was saying to himself that "Where is this place,", he was still the one that turn around and said, "This is Paradise". He decided to walk forward small in the garden, he was admiring the flowers in the garden, he squatted to feel one, pluck and smell one of the flowers in the garden.

While he was smelling the flowers, he heard a voice from behind calling his name, he looked back and saw it was a man in white. He quickly got up, he could not see the face of the man clearly because of the rays of sun in his eyes while squatting. When he got up he discovered it was Lycurgos, one of the past visioneer of Culum Kingdom, the first person to ever go in trance.

"Welcome my son, you have put a lot of effort in place just to get to this place," Lycurgos said.

"Lycurgos, It is a pleasure meeting you, Where is this place?" Lokin asked.

"This is where the deceased communicate with the living, the person you meet here depends on what your mind is set at" Lycurgos replied.

"So what do you seek?" he asked.

"I wanted to hear from the gods, there is trouble in my Kingdom, I had a vision about what would happen, it was so b****y, I need to avoid the vision from coming to pass," Lokin said.

"I am aware of all that is happening and I know it is answers you seek," Lycurgos said.

"Yes, we do not know what to do, we are all confused," Lokin said.

"Even if you did not come here, you would have gotten the answers you seek, I have foreseen what you are currently passing through and I wrote it down, Culum Kingdom shall be split into two unequal halves, one would be more powerful than the other but will not be able to conquer the other when the time is right, the Kingdoms would be united back by a god-sent being which would make peace and harmony in the kingdom permanent," Lycurgos said.

"So the only solution is separation, resistance would then make my vision come to reality," Lokin said.

"Exactly, now you can go, you got the answer you came for," Lycurgos said.

Lokin came back to reality, he was soaked in his sweat already, the room was very hot, it was the market day, the day that is always very hot. Lokin then got up and changed his wet apparel, when he was done he began to head to the King's palace.

At the palace, King Loarn and Queen Luise were already waiting for Lokin because his fellow visioneers informed them that he was communicating with the gods. Immediately he entered the palace, King Loarn asked him if he got the solution.

"Yes your majesty, the only thing you can do to avoid bloodshed and destruction in this kingdom is for you to grant the people who want the power to own their own Kingdom out of this one," Lokin said.

"What are you saying, I should separate this Kingdom and allow them to rule themselves and their people, Culum Kingdom will never be separated, I won't live to see that," King Loarn said.

"That is the only solution I got, they said the Kingdom would be united back in a matter of years because they would send someone to restore peace and harmony to the kingdom," Lokin said.

"That was the only solution I got also, I saw the book I was talking about in the library, all that is about to happen now was foreseen by a visioneer in the past called Lycurgos from an underground temple," Queen Luise said.

In couple more weeks, the situation of the Kingdom began to get worse, the people gathered together and formed a voice, they were asking King Loarn to step down from the throne. King Loarn wanted to take it had on them because he felt that was treason but Lokin and his wife convinced him to do what was right.

King Loarn told the people that he would not step down as King of the Kingdom but he would allow them to own a province out of the territory of Culum Kingdom. Since then peace rained in both separate provinces but there was no harmony. The peace was then tampered with during the emergence of Idahali, an evil sorcerer who normally kills by sucking out people's souls.
