Launch Day Is Here Washington, D. C., November 2029 Keith drove into work with a queasy stomach. He was a little more nervous than most days—make that a lot more nervous. Today was launch day; do-or-die day for the Memory Visors. Everyone, himself included, expected it to be a runaway success—anything less would be viewed as a failure. He drove through the gates to his office, past the six vans belonging to news companies, past the reporters and cameramen who were waiting to pounce on him, and past the just-now-arriving employees who were trying their best to dodge questions from the reporters.
