Langley got a call from Dennis first thing in the morning. Hell, it was before first thing. The caller ID showed Dennis' number, but only because Langley had entered it in manually. Previously, it had shown “unknown caller”.
"This is Langley."
"It's Dennis. I'm returning your call."
Langley had to think for a minute, as it had been several days since he left Dennis a message. "Ah, yes. I called because I was looking over what you sent, and the files made mention of a witness who saw a young black man close by at the time of the attack. Possibly even following her."
"Turned out to be nothing," Dennis said.
