Chloe I’ve done well in the months following my attack to pick myself up and move forward with my life. Max has been my rock, helping me see that what happened cannot define me unless I allow it to. He helped me through therapy, and he’s here now, showing me that my best friend won’t leave me. It takes me a good while to calm down, and two glasses of water later, but I’m ready to hear what Max has to say. Though I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t scared to death right now. With my hand in his, Max tells me, “Jett was sent a DVD earlier today. It was marked with his name, stating he should watch it.
