Chapter Twenty-five EJ headed back to the house. She sat at the kitchen table, thinking about Aunt Belle traveling to Europe, her family considering her dead. How sad. If she explained to everyone how she felt about Charlie, most of her family would probably react just as harshly. Would Father? Jeremy seemed to understand, and maybe only younger minds could understand love with less judgment. If I start wearing dresses again, could I be as free with Charlie?
