“We’re going to go the whole of USA today so I hope you’re prepared, girlfriend” Tina announced excitedly staring at me while driving.
I chuckled. “Keep your eyes on the road, ‘girlfriend’ “
Tina playfully punched my arms. “Stop acting all cool. I can tell you are just as excited as I am”
And I was. It was the first time I was going out in a long while. Now that I think about it, was I really happy being married to Ryan? I didn’t get to eat what I wanted, wear what I wanted or go where I wanted.
I chuckled at how pathetic I was. I couldn’t believe I’d let myself live a life like that; and for a year at that.
