I wasn't expecting those words from Jonathan. His ex-wife was back? Why now?.
Trying not to let my feeling show, I urge him on. "Well, have you figured out what she wants?"
"She's actually around for work so won't be staying long. She asks to meet with Alena today by 12pm but Alena claims she can't meet with her mother without you by her side"
For some reason, I felt relieved to hear that Alena wanted me by her side but was I ready to face the woman Jonathan once loved?.
"I'll clear my schedule for 12pm" I respond. "Send me the location for the meeting place so that I'll come straight there rather than you having to pick me up"
"Thank you, Ciara. I really appreciate it. I'll be taking my leave now"
