Hokum led them into what Michael guessed was the living room, filled with plump chairs and footrests all in deep greens and browns. The walls were sky-blue pink, and the carpet was made out of some sort of moss. Altogether, the effect was something like watching a sunset while in the woods.
Somehow, Hogwash had got there ahead of them and was now waiting with a large teapot and four cups, setting them down on a low wooden table as they walked in. Michael saw that as well as cups, there was also a selection of fat, colourful cakes and a jug of milk. He realised he was ravenous.
