“Please, Lieutenant, finish your tea. You don’t want that to get cold, it’s best hot,” the man laughed, turning to face the woman who was trying to crawl into his lap with a putrid growl. He had forgotten his facial expression, knowing that he looked as if he had seen the dark cast of a wraith.
