Liam made sure not to tell Phatima to expect him, only because he wanted to surprise her after having been away for three months.
He had a whole month to spend in her company getting into all manners of things.
His heart was pounding so fast. He couldn’t get away from his fleet mates fast enough just so he could hug the sweet woman he’d left alone.
There were eyes on him from members of his fleet, watching his every move as he hustled to his personal shuttle to get home. He was surprised that no teasing taunts followed him as the doors closed and he lifted off. But then again, if they did try to jest him, he’d only ignore them in favor of doing just what he was at the moment.
