After the incident at the bar, Jacob became suspicious of me, so I didn't go out for several days. In order to facilitate my daytime outings later, I gradually showed less sleepiness.
After learning that I had returned to normal, Jacob took me to the pack hospital for a full-body checkup. I was surprised by how much he cared about my physical health.
"I heard from Nick that you didn't intentionally hide Ellie's disappearance from the patrol team," Jacob suddenly said after completing all the tests.
I didn't understand the meaning behind his words. Was he going to apologize to me as an Alpha?

"I'm sorry." He effortlessly said the word that could have cost Saul his life.
