Jacob's POV
When I received Cathy's message that the gambler Karl was causing trouble at the pack hospital, I quickly investigated the truth of the matter and pulled his file out of my in tray that had been waiting for me to deal with it. He had been under surveillance for a while due to his habit of mixing with less savary characters from other packs. I hadn't wanted his indiscretions to spill over into our pack by way of retaliation if he ended up going against the wrong wolves. I sneered in contempt as I leafed through the photos. It was just as I had suspected.
Then I went to the pack hospital with Allen and summoned the nearest patrol team to go together. As soon as we arrived at the hospital, we saw a part of the panicked crowd fleeing outside.
