“I thought I told you not to come.” Eric rubbed his head, half grumpy. “I-I wanted to help cheer you up… so I made you dinner.” I said, unsure how to act. I then approached him as one would an untamed beast. “H-how are you?” I skeptically rested a hand on his arm. Eric shrugged. “I don’t know. The doctors had me come home, but they’re not sure of her recovery yet.” Not that I had much experience of it, but I am pretty sure that the stench that came from his breath was that of alcohol. This only made me all the more worried. “Anyways,” he sighed, “I’m starving. What did you make?” I helped him set his things down and undress his jacket before we walked together into the kitchen.
