My hands shook as I tried to get my key in the door. I’d berated myself on the walk home. The inability to keep my thoughts professional bothered me. I needed this job, and if I ever got caught snooping, I would lose it in a heartbeat. I didn’t know what to do with myself. These urges were overpowering my good sense. I shouldn’t be having them. Her eyes looked directly into mine whenever I closed them. I didn’t know how to react to these feelings. I’d been a hermit for so long that lust was an unfamiliar companion.
