The lawyer that Kela paid for me manage to get the possession of cocaine charges dropped against me; I was relieved to hear that because that was the felony charge and I was facing years in prison for that charge. I still had the two misdemeanor charges, the prosecutor offered a plea deal for me to serve six months to 2 years in jail. I had to do at least nine months before getting paroled early, it wasn’t the best deal, but I accepted the offer.
Judge Caroline Rhodes sentenced me to six months to a year in jail. I was to serve my time at the Allegheny County Jail since it was a short sentence.
