The bar that we decided to celebrate our award in was a luxury bar at the upper east end of the city. As we cruised through the city streets, the wind rushing through my hair, I couldn't help but feel a surge of liberation and happiness. The luxury bar at the upper east end awaited us like a beacon of celebration, and I relished every moment of the 20-minute ride. This evening was about more than just an award; it symbolized a break from the shackles that had bound me for far too long. Izac, my dear friend and confidant, was behind the wheel, taking on the role of a gentleman as always. His presence brought a sense of security, and I knew he would always support my decisions. Melissa, the life of every party, was sitting beside me, and together, we turned the car into our personal concert hall. The familiar opening notes of "Seven" by Jungkook echoed through the car's speakers, and without a moment's hesitation, we began to sing along at the top of our lungs. As the music enveloped us, our laughter mixed with the lyrics, and it felt like we were the only ones in the world, free to revel in the joy of the moment. For a few fleeting minutes, I forgot about the strict rules and regulations that had governed my life under the watchful eyes of my family. The weight of their expectations lifted from my shoulders, and I embraced the carefree spirit that had been suppressed for so long. It was addictive; this feeling of being unburdened, carefree, and genuinely happy. I thought back to my attempts to reconcile with my parents, the longing to mend the broken bonds that had torn our family apart. But deep down, I knew it was an impossible feat. They were trapped in their beliefs, convinced that their reputation and traditions were more important than my happiness. I, on the other hand, had grown tired of sacrificing my desires and dreams for the sake of appearances. In the solitude of the car, surrounded by friends who understood and accepted me for who I truly was, I felt a newfound sense of self-assurance. I was unapologetically embracing my adulthood, refusing to let the weight of tradition stifle my spirit any longer. This moment was mine, and it felt like a reawakening of the youth I had lost to the constraints of family obligations. As the city lights blurred past us, I found myself reflecting on the journey that had led me here. The battles I fought, the tears I shed, and the moments of doubt were all stepping stones to this newfound sense of freedom. I had endured the judgment, the disapproval, and the disappointment to emerge stronger on the other side. The club's neon lights beckoned us closer, promising an evening of celebration and joy. I felt my heart race with excitement as we approached our destination. This night was more than just an award ceremony; it was a declaration of my independence, a celebration of my right to choose my own path. Izac parked the car, and we stepped out, our laughter still ringing in the air. Walking towards the entrance, I felt a rush of adrenaline, knowing that this was just the beginning of a night filled with memories I would cherish forever. As we entered the luxurious atmosphere of the bar, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff. It felt like a world away from the stifling confines of my family's expectations. Here, I was free to be me, to laugh, to dance, and to embrace the happiness that had been so elusive for far too long. We had reserved a VIP lounge for the three of us to enjoy and the endless open tab. We were gonna go all out and I was looking forward to it. We got ourselves drinks from the bar before making our way towards the VIP lounges. I had a whiskey on the rocks while Melissa went with Martini and Izac decided on gin and tonic. After asking for a reservation, we were led towards our room. I opened the room and was greeted by two extremely handsome men. Melissa stumbled into me as I stopped abruptly and Izac soon followed the collision. The drink in my hand spilled, almost falling from my grip, but I was saved by a gentleman who had a really fast reflex. “Ummm.” I stuttered, the man’s hands were still on me. “Are you OK?” he asked, genuinely concerned. He was really handsome, his eyes were stormy grey, his hair chocolate brown and was styled to perfection. “ Yes.” I said as I moved back, making his hands fall from me. “I think you are in the wrong room.” Izac said from behind as he made his way into the room with Melissa. “Did we, now? Damn that's a lucky mistake”, the other man woke up from his seat and looked at the key card for the room. He, too, was a very handsome man, with eyes as green as the forest, dressed to perfection but in a laid back manner. His hair reminded me of someone I thought I had seen before, but I was probably mistaken. “Here. What is your number?” the green-eyed man asked, showing us his key card. I took it from him and realized it was the same number as us, 17. “There must have been some confusion,” Melissa said as she looked over the guys and pressed the button on the wall to call for someone from the concierge. “We just came. We were waiting for a friend so the room is untouched.” the first guy said as he gestured towards the room that was indeed clean and untouched. “Let’s sit down and wait for someone.” The green-eyed man said. He stared at Melissa for some time before coincidentally meeting my eyes and smiling sheepishly. He was totally checking Melissa out. I gave him a half-hearted smile as all of us awkwardly sat down. After five minutes of an awkward silence, the room burst open to reveal the manager of the concierge, as his badge suggested. “I am so sorry for the mix-up.” he was wheezing and it looked like he had run there. “It’s fine?” the green-eyed man said as all of us spotted a confused look. It was not that big of a deal to have the cards mixed up, but from the way he was reacting, it was. “NO! I apologize! I am so sorry for the mix-up and because of that, all the drinks for both the rooms will be on the house!! Miss Reid, Mr Archibald!” the way the manager was being overly dramatic and the way he took my name and the famous Archibald name, it was clear from what intentions he had come for. I sighed a little at his words. Today would be a field for the paparazzi if they were to know I was here. “It’s alright but we would appreciate it greatly if our names weren't leaked to the paparazzi. I would definitely appreciate that” The green-eyed man purposely stressed the name. “Oh. Yes! Of course. Mr. Russel and Mr. Marcus, would you please follow me to the room?” the manager directed the two gentlemen. Both of them woke up simultaneously. “ It was nice meeting you all.” Russel, I think, said politely as he made his way towards Marcus behind. We did not have any conversation but at least he tried being nice, I guess. All of us nodded in acknowledgment. Marcus was looking at Melissa, lost in thought as he followed Russel out. But before he went out, he looked back at us. “I hope you have a good time, everyone. However much it may have been awkward, I hope we enjoy ourselves for the rest of the night.” Marcus said with a kind smile on his face. “Sure. Have a good evening, gentlemen.” Izac said, flirty checking them out. He was eyeing them like a snack, making us laugh. The men left, leaving us behind to relax. It was awkward and we were all so stiff that I didn’t realize we had not even introduced ourselves to them. “Well, that was a nice coincidence. I got to see some juicy ass.” Izac commented, fanning himself as though he felt very hot. “I second that!” Melissa said as she held her drink up in cheers. “I think Russel was an Omega.” Melissa added as she made us all a drink. “b***h, I HOPE! AND GAYE!” Izac held his hand up in prayer. “And the other guy, Marcus. I think he was an alpha.” I said, remembering his overbearing aura. His presence felt similar to someone I could not remember. Although I didn’t care at that point that Melissa placed vodka shots in front of us. Soon we forgot about the man and partied our hearts out. Drinks were bought for us in quick succession, we were dancing to the music, completely forgetting the time and the place and just enjoying ourselves. But as the night progressed, things began to go wrong, one by one, which none of us realized till it was too late. I could never have imaged what was going to happen to me later into the night and it would become the night that would change my whole f*****g life.
