Part 2: Inside Jordan Gray's School

262 Words
Everything at Hampshire School was going as expected. The teachers taught, and Jordan answered even the most difficult questions with ease. Little did he know, this was one of the rare attributes of the Magnine. During lunch break, as usual, he was approached by the “Biggies,” a group of older students ready to tease him. They attacked him—threw his lunch to the ground and stamped on it. If only they knew that one day, this act would come back to haunt them. Orlando, his best friend, kindly invited him to share his lunch. Later that afternoon, the sessions continued. It was time for gymnastics—everyone’s favorite, especially the lazier students in Jordan’s class, who found theory lessons a bore. Sir Jasper walked in, and the room fell silent. He ordered the class to run to the opposite end of the hall five times. Pleased with their performance, he watched them closely. But during the third round, something unexpected happened. Jordan began to feel strange. Dizzy. His eyelids fluttered uncontrollably, and his vision blurred for a few seconds. He approached the oldest person in the room to ask for permission to go to the restroom. To his surprise, the request was denied. Then, one of the Biggies sneered, “What’s he going to do there—he hasn’t even had lunch!” Laughter erupted, except from Orlando. Consumed by rage, Jordan lunged at Alex and shoved him. The force he unleashed was astonishing—Alex fell with a heavy thud and dislocated his lower arm. Jordan collapsed, unconscious.
