Episode 1

A loud knock woke me up from a nap "Annalise wake up!!Make me some breakfast you brat" I sighed and stood up to put my hair into a ponytail and fixes myself 

Why can't she make her own breakfast? "Coming mom" I heard no response 

Sleepy, I got out from my room and go straight towards the Kitchen when I noticed a man on the dining table,He was bald and has piercing on his ears,A big muscles that was full of tattoo up to his face and he wa... Smoking...

"E-excuse me? S-sir?" He lifted his head up and looked at me up and down with l**t in his eyes 

"Annalise!!" My mother screamed at me "What are you standing there? GO MAKE US SOME BREAKFAST i***t" i slowly nodded my head in embarrassment and walk straight to the fridge to get some eggs and bacon and cook it

"Is that your daughter?" My breathe hitched when the man spoke 

"No" My step mom answered looking at the man with a big smile on her face, Err disgusting "So...Do you want to go shopping baby?" My lips formed into a grim line hearing what my step mom said,lLike seriously? We don't have enough money to even buy groceries and my wages from work ain't helping that much...She really is a witch...I wish dad would feel sorry for marrying her

"Yes ofcourse" Answered by the man that made my mom giggle like a little girl

"ANNALISE" I jump out a little when my mother shouted suddenly "THE FOOD" Scared, I nodded quickly and hand her the egg and the bacon

"I-I'll go now" I swallowed and was about to walk straight to my room when the man spoke 

"Your not joining us?Come on, Join us"  His voice gave me chills...It's uncomfortable so I shook my head declining his offer 

"No thanks" I turned my back on them and entered my room "Lord guide me" That's my little prayer before going to the bathroom to take some bath. 

While changing into my nurse uniform a knock from my door made me stop "Who is it?" I asked hiding the fear from my voice,It knock again "W-who is it?" I heard No response so i just shrugged my thoughts off and continue to change into my uniform,After that,I walk out of my room to leave for work.

"Your a nurse?" A low baritone voice spoken from my behind so i turned around..It was the man earlier "

I let out a deep breath before answering "Yeah" He smirked "Now pardon me!!" I turned my back on him and ran out of the house and took a taxi...That was yeah--uncomfortable 

When I arrived at the hospital where I work, I immediately went to the pedia ward to visit the young patient I was going to take care of.

"Hi nurse" the mom of the kid greeted,I awkwardly smiled and greeted back

"Is he asleep?" 

"Yes and I'm glad your here" she sighed "Can you watch him for me?"

I nodded "Ofcourse..Not a problem" The woman smiled and bid her goodbye "Okaaayy...Now" I pressed my lips together and looked at the kid sleeping peacefully beside me "Cute hehe" I first sat down next to the child and slowly squeezed his plump face..Awww

"Oi he might wake up if you do that" My eyes widened and look behind me "Surprise?" Cedric smiled but i looked away...It's awkward 

"S-sorry" 

He chuckled "I'm just joking" I smiled awkwardly "Don't be awkward when I'm around" Cedric turned his back on me and walk away.

Sigh, Cedric Velasquez is the only co-worker who spoke to me all the time--Well sometimes No,I thought he just wanna be friends but he said he wants me to be his girlfriend but someone told me he's a fuckboi and only want me to be his girlfriend because I'm pretty,That he only want to f**k me...That's when i distanced myself with him but he never stop  talking to me...I don't know why

"M-mama?" 

"Oh-ahm your mom is out buying something for you" I smiled at the kid "She'll be back kay?" The little kid nod his small head

"I'm hungry Miss nurse" 

I smiled "You are?" he smiled too...So cute "Here" I handed him a peeled apple and he started eating it 

"D-do you want to share Miss nurse?" I shook my head with a smile on my face 

"No, Miss nurse is not hungry" I patted his head and my smile even grew bigger when he giggled 

"Do you have a boyfrwend Miss nurse?" The kid pouted cutely,It made me laugh "D-dont l-laugh" 

"Okay okay hehe and.. " I pinched his cheeks "Miss nurse doesn't have a boyfriend" the kid giggled 

"Okay" I smiled again 

"Finish your food now" He nodded 

I spent a few more hours watching over the child until his mother arrived..."Thanks you so much Nurse" I smiled and said bye bye to the kid before going.

While walking on the hall way cedric called me

"Annalise.. In the operating room..Now" i nodded quickly and ran to follow cedric

"What's the case?" i asked while changing into my scrub

Cedric sighs "He was shot near the heart" I let out a deep breath before nodding 

"Let's go" We both entered the operating room to prepare the equipments...Seconds later Dr Fayetteville started the operation and we we're just assisting him. 

We spent an hour in the operating room due to our patient's complications but sadly in the end he lost his life...He died"You okay?" i shook my head "Here" Cedric handed me a cup of coffee 

"Thanks" i looked away "I feel bad--I mean,I feel bad that we couldn't save his life" I took a sip from my coffee and sigh

Cedric sit's beside me "This is the first time for  two months we've known each other I saw you drink the coffee i gave you" I was shocked at what he said and just looked down 

"S-sorry" 

He chuckled "It's alright" We both became quite 

"I-ahm--I'm always shy around people  and i was home schooled so i don't have any friends growing up--Well.. Yeah" I said breaking the silence between us

"Why are you telling me this?" He frowned 

I pressed my lips together "J-just sharing" I heard him laugh

"Damn" He laughed again "Now i know and anyways..Did you eat lunch already?" 

I shrugged "No" 

"Mhm let's eat together then.. My treat"  

My eyes widen "N-no, I'm not hungry"  i heard him groan "Please?" It'll be disrespectful if I'm going to decline his offer,Although i act pretty Awkward with other people,I do not know how to refuse grace so...

...I thought twice before nodding 

"Okay l-lets go" Cedric smiled first before getting up and at the same time walked with me to the cafeteria

"What do you wanna eat?" I shrugged Hmm i don't know so i just said "I'm fine with anything i can eat" he smiled 

"Sit here" That was cedric said when we both reached the hospital's cafeteria I gave him a small smile and said okay before looking around the cafeteria,Next to my seat was another table with the nurses talking about something,They we're glaring at me--No--More like judging me 

Okay.. Be friendly Annalise, I smiled at them and wave my hand a little...I looked down when they all frowned like there was a mad woman who suddenly waved at them,I sighed and I wish the earth would eat me up and swallow me forever because of embarrassment 

The nurse with a thick make up rolled her eyes at me "That's it? That's her?" she looked at me up and down with judgement in her  eyes "She look so simple and.. " she made a disgusted face "Ugly..And your telling me that Cedric fell for this woman?" That's what i overheard,She's right... I turned my gaze outside the window to avoid there judging eyes..It's raining?--well obviously Annalise,I sighed

"Hey"I looked at cedric who had just arrived carrying two trays of food, I smiled at him fakely and greeted back

"Hey" He frowned and sat in front of me

"Something wrong?" I shrugged 

"No" I started eating the food cedric gave me "Eat now" i smiled 

He chuckled "Yeah i will" I smiled awkwardly at him again and looked at the table next to us again and to not my "Surprise" They we're glaring at us again, Cedric also glared at them

"Don't mind them" He sighed "Thrre just jealous of you" eh? Me? 

Why the hell would they be jealous? "Pardon?"

Cedric smiled "I mean, There jealous because you look so pretty and cute and sexy and kind and--"

I cutted him off by saying "No, Im not" 

He rolled his eyes at me playfully and smirked "You are tho" Hmp "So deal with it"

I tasted disbelief in my food "Damn" it made me happy but in trouble at the same time "L-lets just eat" 

He laughed "Are you flattered?" i immediately shook my head 

"N-no ofcourse not" 

That's where are argument started...It's fun

"Are you going to be busy after this?" he asked 

I nodded "Yes, I'll be in the pedia ward taking care of the children" i smiled 

"Well.. Good luch i guess" I smiled at him again

Over lunch we both talked about some random things such as our work, Our patients and random people,Ater that, We both parted ways and as i said,I walked through the pedia ward to take care of the sick children it last until midnight,Its tiring but Worth it at the same time 

I rubbed my buttocks and then stroked my neck "Tired" I mumbled with closed eyes 

"I can see that" I immediately looked at the guy beside me sitting,He's wearing a white long sleeve and a denim jeans paired with A white shoes 

"W-who are you" I swallowed...scared that he might hurt me 

"Relax Miss,I'm not interested in you" That made me at ease "Don't flatter yourself just because you know your pretty" my mouth dropped in disbelief...Such a disrespectful man

"E-excuse me sir, I'm not pretty and.." i swallowed "How can you be so rude?" 

"I was born this way" he said coldly before standing up and walking away...He looked problematic and suicidal,My eyes widen at that thought 

"What the hell?" I blinked twice and also stood up and followed the man "E-xcuse me sir" I blocked his path and spoke breathlessly because of running "Are you okay?" i asked 

"What the f**k--Do i look like I'm not?" I swallowed hard and nodded 

"It's okay sir.. Whatever your problem is.." i clenched my fists and showed it to him "Fighting" That's what i said before turning around and taking some taxi "I hope it helped him" i mumbled inside the taxi 

When i got home i go straight towards my room and let myself fall into my rough bed,The whole house was dark when i entered..Mom is probably out partying again,I sighed and closed my eyes "Okayyy so.. You made cedric your friend and helped that man earlier also took care of the sick children" I smiled sadly "Good job Annalise" I said,Trying my best not to cry...

...Daddy i miss you

It was really hard growing up without dad...I was already ten years old when he died--I saw it with my own two little eyes how he lost his life--his last breathe and  i couldn't do anything to save him--He had a heart attack and he didn't tell me, I clenched my fist...The reason why i became a nurse is because of dad...

And my step mom..Your probability asking why I'm still living with her even though she's an evil,Well that's because she raised me when dad died--She didn't treat me well and made me her slave but she didn't fail to provide me food or education that's why I'm grateful and promised myself that i would take care of her...

I sighed 

Too much thinking for this day...I slowly close my eyes and falls asleep 

Another morning came and i was surprised that mom didn't woke me up!In confusion,I left my room and went to the door of my mother's room to knock "I wispherd" but i heard no response so i opened the door...There no one in it "Maybe she slept with that man"

I shrugged and smiled because no one will annoy me today, I went to the kitchen to cook some breakfast..It's sunday so it means no work for me,My smile even grew bigger because of that thought.

"Okayy... What should i wear?" I asked myself while picking some different clothes;I'm going out..To the park it is! "Aha" i smiled when i found my old and most favorite dress, It was an off shoulder black floral dress with a small belt in it...It's not that short and not fitted either...It looks old but simple and illegant "There" I said when i finished combing my long and wavy hair "You look pretty Annalise" I smiled at myself in the mirror 

I left the house with a smile on my face when a car stopped in front of me..I stepped back,The car window opened,Thats where i saw who was driving the car it was the...man yesterday.

"Going out i see" I swallowed and nodded 

"What are you doing here?" he smirked

"Just passing by and Yeah--I saw you" I doubt his answer at first "Don't worry I'm not stalking you.. I have a girlfriend you know" I sighed in relief 

"G-good for you Mr--No if you'd excuse m--"

"Get it" he said coldly 

I shrugged and shakes my head "N-no it's fine" i bit my lips when he chuckled 

"Don't flatter yourself Miss?" He raised his eyebrows up

"Annalise" 

"Don't flatter yourself Annalise" he sighed "I'm going to the park and I suppose You are too?" 

"How did you know?" I frowned 

He made a confused look "Because your walking towards the Park's direction?" oh, I thought his stalking me

"Yes i am" I looked away 

"Then get in" I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out so i just stay quiet "Don't be shy i won't hurt you"

I nodded and slowly get in his car "Close the door" He ordered;So i did closed the door 

The inside of the car became so quite

"So ahm.. Did you change your mind?"

Confusions written aver his face "What?" 

I smiled sadly "About You doing suicide" He didn't answer so i turn my gaze outside the car's window; Seconds later the car was filled with a bark of laughter,I frown...What's funny?

"S-sorry--Pft-Are you serious?" I nodded my head while also laughing fakely and awkwardly...Is he sick? "You really thought I'll do suicide?" I nodded again, He laughed so hard for two minute straight,He would only stop when he needs to gasp for air 

"Mr?" He stopped laughing but the smile on his face never left "H-have you gone crazy Mr?" I asked and saw that we're already entering the park entrance.

 He fake cough "f**k no" i frowned 

I sighed "Language" I turned my gaze outside the car's window "Oh--Stop the car--that's my favorite  stop of the park" i heard him chuckles and slowly stop the car "I-ahm.. I'll go now Sir and T-thank you" I quickly left his car and ran towards the spot where the trees are formed into star...I love it 

I sat down on the bench holding my phone and my small shoulder bag while smiling like an i***t and being contented;The sky is so blue ...it look so pretty,I sighed and closed my eyes and said "Dad you there?" i asked "Mhm" i bit my lip in embarrassment "I just wanna tell you that i met a suicidal guy yesterday--Well i thought he is but it turns out ahm kinda no--it's embrassing dad" I pouted and opened my closed eyes. 

My eyes widen when the first thing i saw upon opening my eyes are pair of blue eyes who was looking at me intently "W-waaa" I pushed the man away "W-what the fu--Omfg are you okay?" I asked when he fell in the grass 

"f**k!! That hurts you know" he sighed and stood up "Tsk" 

"It's your fault" i swallowed and looked away "You we're glaring at me...Are you a stalker?" i frowned 

He didn't answer and sat beside me "No" 

I bit my lip and blushes "T-then why are you here? Aren't you supposed to leave?" I heard no response again so i just kept my mouth shut and let my head rest on the seat "Pretty" A small smile escaped my lips when a butterfly flew beautifully up above the sky "Are you hungry mister?"
