David led me to our favorite clearing, the place he had made me his Luna and the place he made me his. It has become such a special place to me, and I think it is just as special to him. He led me over to the bank of the water and sat down as we always do, pulling off his shoes and putting his toes in the water. I sit next to him, slipping off my sandals and putting my own feet in the cool water, wiggling my toes. The sun is setting, finally cooling off the land from the day. Fall is on the way, the first leaves having already fallen, just in time to blanket our pack with its beautiful colors as the Alphas all arrive. David sits there silently for quite some time, making me more nervous with each silent second that passes. He seems nervous himself, but I don’t want to speak first,
