I knew the minute she was at the door; her vanilla scent filled my nose when I stood before my desk.
I could also sense fear.
"Mom said you needed to see us?"
Ava says, standing there with a smirk, "She knows what she did telling Mom about my mate."
"Yes," I said with annoyance in my voice, so she knew I was on to her.
Looking at the two of them, I let my eyes move to look at her.
Ava steps forward, holding her hand out for my mate.

Picking her head up and looking at me, she felt uneasy.
