I was put in a room and left there. Once, we had driven away from the bar and Jaxson. We arrived at a large house with heavy security all around. Even driving up the pathway here, I could see wolves running in the woods next to the SUV. Then, men were all around the house. At every corner, someone was standing and watching their eye, following our every move.
Once I was tossed in the room and the door slammed shut, I sat in the far corner with my knees drawn up, trying to shrink into the wall as far as possible.
A muffled voice came from outside the door, but it never opened, letting my eye scan the room. It was simple: a single bed, two small dressers, and one nightstand with a lamp on it. There was a door on the opposite wall from me and a window next to the bed.
